The Laundry Attendant will perform those duties that relate to cleaning, sorting, folding, and stocking of all the linen inventory in such a manner that these functions meet the goals and standards of guest service established by The Gant Management.This position supports on-site laundry functions as they pertain to supplying all units, closets, and saunas with linens, in top quality condition, in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Stocking linen closets and removal of soiled linens
    • Sorting of linens
    • Loading and unloading washers and dryers
    • Proper folding of all linen
    • Report misuse of linens to supervisor
    • Perform periodic stain runs
    • Report any equipment malfunction to supervisor
    • Completion of off-season projects as assigned
    • Perform any Housekeeping function or task for The Gant that may be required outside the normal job parameters, as assigned by supervisors to help achieve the goals and standards set by Gant Management
    • SAFETY:
      • Maintain proper and safe use of all cleaning chemicals
      • Adhere to all lifting safety standards
      • Familiarity with Emergency Manual and procedures
      • Correct any dangerous situation that may present itself.  Initiate action and follow through until the situation is rectified
      • Observation of any unusual activity, and report thereon to the supervisor
      • Regular cleaning of Laundry facility
      • All carts in proper place
      • Shelving organized and stocked neatly
      • Walkways through laundry free from obstructions
      • Bathroom clean and functioning properly
      • Appliances kept in clean and running condition
      • Vents (inside and outside) and machinery cleaned on a regular basis
      • Areas outside of laundry clear of trash and lint
      • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to walk long distances and spend most of day on feet




  • The primary work areas are the laundry room, Housekeeping/linen closets, property walkways, and the housekeeping office.
  • Regularly pass through outdoors with adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Extensive contact with the operation of washing/drying/folding of towels and linens
  • Standing for extensive periods of time
  • Fast paced work environment
  • Safety consciousness is imperative, especially when working with or near the laundry facility machinery
  • Bending over to unload dirty towels and linens from shelves in Housekeepings' closets, load and unload laundry carts, and load and unload washers and dryers
  • Kneel and crawl to clean lint traps on dryers, remove dirty linen from low shelves in housekeeping closets, and to get rags, towels, and sheets from under folding table
  • Reaching and stretch to remove dirty linens for Housekeeping closet shelves, and to place clean linens and towels on high Housekeeping closet shelves
  • Pushing and pulling full laundry carts across the property and load and unload linens and towels from washers and dryers
  • Climbing stairs, stand on feet most of the day, lift and carry 25-50 pounds at a time
  • Manual dexterity as needed to sort laundry and steer laundry cart
  • Visual ability to check linens for stains
  • Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction

  • Rubber gloves, goggles and other PPE as needed

HIRING RANGE: $18.00 - $20.00
